Trees for life
Here at Wise Communities, we love trees and we're here to support organizations and efforts to combat climate change. Trees help stop climate change by removing carbon dioxide from the air, storing carbon in the trees and soil, and releasing oxygen into the atmosphere. Trees provide many benefits to us, every day. They offer cooling shade, block cold winter winds, attract birds and wildlife, purify our air, prevent soil erosion, clean our water, and add grace and beauty to our homes and communities.
Plant a tree, care for a tree
Treetrust is a non-profit registered charity committed to identifying and preserving mature trees in Ontario, thus sequestering carbon in the roots, trunk, and branches of these trees.
Tree Canada is the only national non-profit organization dedicated to planting and nurturing trees in rural and urban environments.

Bill Kunz initiated a new tree planting program through his work with London Hydro more than 10 years ago. Bill took his vision to the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority and the Tree Power London program was born!
Bill helped build the program to "Harness the power of trees by planting a native hardwood tree in your yard through the London Hydro/Upper Thames River Conservation Authority Tree Power Program".
Bill's legacy of tree planting continues in London and will be replicated in Stratford beginning in 2021!
